Turbine Analysis Engineer

Responsible for the design and optimization of gas turbine clearances.
This will include 2D/3D transient thermal - mechanical analysis, use of in house clearance tools, complete engine stack-ups, and development and optimization of reduced order clearance models.
The engineer will need to have extensive FEA experience (+7 yrs) to be able to perform the quality and quantity of work required in the given time scope.
The Clearance Engineer will work cooperatively with the hardware design engineering team, Aerodynamics, Performance, and Systems teams to develop a configuration that meets all design requirements.
Candidate must have a minimum of a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree Ansys FEA thermal/mechanical design experience (+7 years) UG/NX experience (+3 years) Programming background/proficiency in using/writing macros, and moderate (2
years) programming experience, preferably experience with Python.
